EWS Benefits for Eligible Brahmin Students and Job Seekers

Eligible Brahmin students and job seekers who belong to the General Category may benefit under the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) quota. EWS is based on economic condition, not caste. Applicants must generally have family income below ₹8 lakh per year and satisfy the prescribed land and property limits. They must not belong to SC, ST or OBC categories covered under the applicable reservation system.

EWS candidates may receive up to 10% reservation in eligible Central Government jobs and admissions to participating educational institutions. This can improve opportunities for college admission, professional courses, competitive examinations and government employment.
