The Government of India, through the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), has announced several important measures to support businesses involved in international trade.

🔹 Few Highlights:

✅ Export Obligation Deadline Extended till 31 August 2026
Exporters operating under the Advance Authorisation and EPCG schemes have received an automatic extension to fulfil their export obligations. This provides much-needed breathing room amid ongoing global logistics and geopolitical challenges.

✅ Boost to RoDTEP Scheme
The government is considering strengthening the RoDTEP (Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products) scheme to improve exporters’ cash flow and enhance global competitiveness.

✅ Support for MSME & E-Commerce Exporters
New initiatives such as Niryat Protsahan are aimed at improving access to credit for MSMEs engaged in cross-border e-commerce exports.

✅ Simplified DGFT Procedures
DGFT has introduced new Standard Input Output Norms (SIONs), enabling faster processing of Advance Authorisation applications and reducing compliance burdens.

✅ Some Points which are still untouched in current FTP

1) No new Export Incentives for Exporters/Manufacturers
2) PLI Scheme is live but it is not a standalone incentive for exporters or trading companies
3) Non-accountability on late issuance of Export-Import related licenses from department
