A shipment is ready to enter the European Union, but one data error in the Entry Summary Declaration (ENS) could block delivery. Double check before filing!

All economic operators bringing goods into or transiting through the EU have to submit safety and security data via the EU's Import Control System 2 (hashtag#ICS2) using the ENS.

What is the difference between Surrendered B/L and Telex Release in sea freight and international trade? 🚢

One of the common mistakes is that there are times when there is confusion between the names in the world of export and shipping, and it can have bad consequences in the export process!

📝 Surrendered B/L
In the world of shipping, when we say "surrendered bill of lading", it means that the exporter handed over the original copies of the bill of lading to the shipping company, and asked them that the importer receive the goods without providing the original.

Simply, the original paper is of great importance, and the importer can clear the shipment electronically or based on his name in the shipping line system.

Why do companies do this? 📦
In order to speed up the release of goods and avoid the headache of paper documents.
It is very useful in these cases:
✅ The importer is reliable and the relationship between the two parties is good.
✅ The shipment must be delivered quickly (e.g. perishable goods).
✅ Payment made in advance before shipment.
✅ There is no time to send the original documents.

💻 Telex Release
After the company actually works the surrender, the role of communication between the offices comes into play.
The shipping company's office in the country of export sends an official notification (Telex/Email/System Notification) to their office in the country of arrival, telling them, "Guys, the shipment has been delivered here with us (Surrendered), the importer can receive it from the original."
